Where does the name La-Saj-Design, come from?

"La" is an abbreviation of my first name, Leigh Ann and "Saj" is an abbreviation of my last name, Sajor, pronounced la-sage (like the herb)! "Saj" has also been a nickname for me, for quite some time.

What made you start your company?

La-Saj-Design was born from my love and a passion for all things events. After being emerged in the hospitality industry for almost two decades, my experience in events is incredibly diverse, which gives me very unique understanding of the inner workings and processes that it takes to successful turn a clients dreams into reality. Taking part in the creation and production of my client's fondest memories, I constantly get to witness the true essence of life, which makes this my dream job!

What exactly do you design?

I am both a floral designer & a designer of events.

Tell me about your creative process:

My first step, is always to listen. It's very important to understand exactly what my client's needs and wants are, as well as getting an idea of their unique styles and tastes.

Next comes, visualization. I provide my client's a virtual image board of their inspirations and what my ideas are to make it all come to fruition, along with a quote for services & design concepts.

I understand the importance to maintain constant communication with all parties involved. From bouquets to arrangements, from the details in decor, I want everything I produce to reflect my client's overall vision.

Design & Creation follow suit, where I put it all together to tell your story.

The final step is execution. This is where I believe, I thrive, by staying extremely organized and on schedule.

How would you describe your personal style?

I'd say a mix of classic and edgy. I love using both the contrast and fluidity of combining hard and soft textures.

What are (5) words that best describe what makes your company unique?

QUALITY.

EXPERIENCE.

ORGANIZATION.

ADAPTATION.

STYLE.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I love discovering and snapping photos of the nooks and crannies that make up the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I am a sucker for farms/animals, with a special adoration for donkeys, goats and silkie chickens. I always enjoy the time I get to spend with my family. I am also a proud assistant coach to my littlest sister's select basketball team.
